One of the greatest perks of living in the Woodlands is the emphasis on community and all the great events that happen each and every month! On any given weekend, there are more than several events to choose from – ranging from family-friendly to a great excuse for a date night or girls’ night out. These events are perfect for meeting up with your friends or doing some networking. In this month’s blog, we’d like to highlight some of the fun seasonal events coming up this October. As the holiday season approaches us, more and more events will begin to pop up – be sure to keep an eye on The Woodlands event calendar in the near future!
Poolside Movie at The Como: Every Sunday during the month of October, the Como Social Club will be playing a complimentary Halloween movie out by their pool, with delicious “lite bites” and drinks available for purchase. The Italian-inspired social club overlooks the gorgeous Woodlands waterway, making it a great place to hang out and relax with your significant other or meet some new people. The movie will be shown rain or shine- must be 21 or older to attend! Seating is limited, so reserve a spot is recommended.
Hocus Pocus Pops – Houston Symphony Orchestra On October 18th, the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavillion is putting on a Halloween event perfect for an afternoon of family fun. Dressing up is highly encouraged, as the first 100 to arrive will get the chance to walk in a parade on stage during the concert! Festive train rides begin at 5:30 pm, and lawn and mezzanine seating are free. Come out with your kiddos and enjoy the music!
Pumpkin Patch at Market Street: October 26th, the Saturday before Halloween, Market Street is putting on a pumpkin patch for local families. Held in the central park, there will be pumpkins available from 10 am-9 pm, or until supplies last. There is a suggested donation of $5 per pumpkin, and all proceeds will go towards Interfaith of The Woodlands, a non-profit group that works to provide several programs and services to meet the needs of our area, such as a food pantry, senior services, counseling services and more.
Pick Your Poison – Halloween Party at the Como: Once again, the Como Social Club is putting on yet another fantastic event this October! On Halloween night, they’re hosting an adults-only party. There will be a costume contest, so come prepared! The winner will receive a $50 gift card to spend at their club. Tickets will sell out fast- so be sure to grab yours soon! Each ticket purchase even includes a complimentary cocktail.
