Over the past decade, The Woodlands, Texas has grown rapidly. With new places to eat popping up all the time, it can be a challenge to decide where to go. The Hubbell & Hudson Kitchen – a classic in The Woodlands community. Off of Research Forest, this chef-inspired cafe’ serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a wide variety of intriguing menu items to suit any palette. The Kitchen is all about offering a culinary experience in a modern, casual atmosphere. Along with their extensive menu, they offer a 65 item salad bar, and eight soups made from scratch. Stop in for a cup of coffee at their coffee bar, or shop through their selection of craft beer and wine after a relaxing dinner with the family. Additionally, they have a great enclosed-patio area for when the weather is pleasant. Their chef, Austin Simmons, is the creative force for two other well-loved fine dining concepts – be sure to give tasting menu, Cureight and the upscale Tris a visit on your next date night.
Fielding’s Local Bar Kitchen + Bar – located in Creekside Park, this casual but upscale restaurant destination is suitable for both girls night out and lunch with the kids, boasting dry-aged steaks, artisan pizzas, homemade bread and pasta all made daily from quality ingredients. Like their name, Fielding’s is all about supporting local. Their food is sourced from small farms and local dairies along with craft beer and wine from boutique breweries and wineries. To further the restaurant’s sustainability, the place itself was built with repurposed, recycled and energy efficient materials. Give them a visit and support local! Fielding’s chef Edel has recently opened another location as well- Fielding’s Wood Fired Grill, focused around their all-natural burgers, offering more of a casual setting.
Jasper’s – situated right in the heart of Market Street, this place is somewhat of a Woodland’s icon. Their “backyard gourmet” cuisine is all about reimagining the classic, comforting American dishes- what more could a Texan want? The restaurant has everything from steak and burgers to potato salad and mac cheese- all with a gourmet twist from executive chef Ruben Campos. With eye-catching menu items like Shiner Bock Cheddar Soup and Sweet Potato Bread Pudding, it’s no wonder they have such a strong following. This is a favorite for family dinner- take advantage of their patio overlooking the lawn, perfect for letting the kids play while you relax. While Jasper’s is a prime spot for meeting friends and enjoying happy hour, they also offer private dining & event catering for formal events and parties.
